I've been to quite a few zones, and noticed still one flaw (especially in those non-space-related zones, speaking of MetalGear CTF, for example)--The loading screen still remains a ship flying into space. I'm here to ask if I can change that. Though my own zone still relates to space as the background, I really wanted to change this. I would kind of like to make a runway for the ships. See below (In horrible ASCII, I might add)
-------*XXX*-------
-------*XXX*-------
-------*XXX*-------
-------*XSX*-------
-------*XXX*-------
-------*XXX*-------
-------*XXX*-------
- = some sort of grey textured graphic looking like concrete/metal w/e
* = red lights on either side of the runway itself
X = some kind of darker grey tile, darker displaying the wear on the ground
S= ship
And, of course, as always, every time, thanks in advance.

I doubt you can do it without hacking up the client, it's probably hardcoded.
It uses whatever ship you had last, y'see. When entering a zone, your last ship is always default. |

The ship was the least of my worries. I was more concerned with making a runway for the ships, but oh well.

It's possible if you make one of the ships the size of the screen and put all the stuff in the first frame. Although it won't animate and filesize could be approaching ludicrous size. Of course you will need a bot to prevent people from actually using that ship and the arena can only be a subarena otherwise people might enter it using an arbitrary ship. |

you have to also take into effect the original client its self. continuum wasnt made for like grounded backgrounds at first. And 99% of your population will have the default continuum client in the folder. Continum will load the default graphics and sounds until told other wise, hence the reason for lvz. Its next to impossible with the continuum client, for it will load defaults till the lvz is downloaded |

You would have to make all the ships in the public arena use the modified shipset because people can login as any ship. You would have to make public spec only and have the main game in a subarena. |
