I have a zone running on a permit.txt. All works fine.
I have my bot on the permit.txt, but when I try to connect it, on one core I get it just doesn't have permission, locked out. On the other it says needs special permission to play this zone.
I can login to the zone on the bot's name just fine, so it does have permission. It has sysop and is on vip.
Any ideas? |

Sounds like the 2 cores don't handle login correctly. _________________ 4,691 irradiated haggis! |

1st was RSCore. It chills in RedStar fine.
2nd to test was MervBot.
So unless they not made to handle permission zone logins or something, then I don't know what is up. |

I removed the permissions, and now the error mervbot says is that there is no subspace.exe and it sent back a 0 error or something. There is one in there, and i've tried re-setting up the server 4x. |

There is no subspace.exe w/ the newer merv builds.. as the new one generates the checksum dynamically, last time I knew/checked

The server also requires a subspace.exe to match the checksum against.
Another way to disallow VIE clients might be to delete or rename this subspace.exe (about 600k in the same directory as subgame). Although I notice in the merv output there is a non-zero checksum when the server's subspace.exe is removed, so I wouldn't be surprised if VIE SS could still get in. |
