Hello,

OK, I added my pal TravisP to the smod.txt list of supermoderators, and told him to type append the supermoderator pass to the end of his regular password. The subgame2.exe output said "SUPER MODERATOR LOGGED IN" whenever he logged in, but when he tried testing his power by using *arena test, nothing happened. The text sort of just... disappeared into nothingness. The same results happened with *super. He didn't recieve a supership, and his text just disappeared.

Is there something I'm doing wrong that is hindering him and my other mods from getting their powers?

PS: In server.ini, I have:
[Validation]
CheckMod=1
CheckSMod=1
CheckSysop=1

They are all set to 1, FYI.

Thanks in advance...

You should try to put an alias of yourself on smod.txt then try to login to smod yourself. It should work.
If this does not then there is a real problem.

Also, you should just type *smodpassword while in-game instead of putting it behind your password so your sure you gave the correct password and that you should be logged in.

AFAIR, and I could be wrong, inorder to issue *arena and bong sounds your name must be in moderate.txt.
Be advised that sysop.txt and smod.txt are NOT a substitute for moderate.txt.
Although you don't need to put your name in smod.txt if you are a sysop (IE put it in sysop.txt) you still need to put it in moderate.txt.
Sysop.txt "includes" smod.txt, but moderate.txt is a standalone and all staff members need to be written in it.

OK, thanks for your help.

I'll try out the methods suggested and see if it was my fault
