Okay, I know that this topic is brought up plenty in these forums, but I'm really frustrated.
Can someone please briefly list the lines in Server.ini and subil.ini that I have to edit?

All of the extra crap on the How-To is confusing the shit out of me(excuse my language).

All I want is a list.

You're not making it easy for people to help you, but I'll try.

It depends on how you want your zone to run, anyway, I'll give you some info for a basic setup.

Setting values with colors should match other setting values with the same color.

Server.ini:
Quote:
[Custom]
ArenaMode=5

Just a setting I'd recommend.

Quote:
[Misc]
NoAntiInSafe=1
AllowPubScorereset=1
Port=1000
ServerIP=x.x.x.x

ServerIP should be set to the IP address found on http://www.whatismyip.com/, do not set it to a local or lan IP.

Quote:
[Password]
SysopPassword=sysoppw
EnergyPassword=energypw
ModeratorPassword=modpw
SuperModeratorPassword=smodpw
VIPPassword=vippw

Set all these passwords to whatever you like.

Quote:
[Billing]
IP=localhost
Password=billingpw
ServerName=Quan Chi2's server
Port=185
ServerId=1000
GroupId=1
ScoreId=1000

ServerId and ScoreId can be different from the port number, but whatever.

Quote:
[Directory]
IP=sscentral.subspace.inet.fi,sscentral.subspacehq.com,servers.sscentral.com
Description=Just testing
NamePassword=meow
Port=4991

Some entries in Directory:IP of the default .ini files don't exist anymore, use those I posted.
Directory:Port=4991 shouldn't be changed, I only posted it to show you that it shouldn't be messed with.

Subbill.ini:
Quote:
[Misc]
SysopPassword=billingsysoppw
BillingPassword=billingpw
Port=185

You can leave the settings I did not post about unchanged until you know what they do.
After implementing these settings you should be able to run it; Until I read your next post I'll assume you know what to do from now, ask for more help if needed.

It still doesnt't work. Billing server connects after one attempt. Yet, the zone still shows red on the list. What is wrong? I dont get it...

Purge, subgame connects to the biller fine, so that probably isn't having issues. sa_tongue.gif

Forwarding ports would be the next step, to make the server public.
First make sure you can enter the zone by adding it as custom.

Add a costum zone in Continuum (go to "Zones" -> "Add Custom...").
The name you give to it doesn't matter, put "127.0.0.1" as the IP address, and the port number as the port the server runs on: 1000.

Enter this custom zone instead of the entry you got from the directory servers.

Other people should use the entry they got from the directory servers.

If other people can't connect from the internet with the entry in the zone list that they got from the directory servers you'll need to forward ports on your router (if you have one), but as I said, that's the next step.
Make sure you can actually enter it by using the custom zone first.

That happened to me long ago, and yet when I changed the ports of billing from X to 185, it worked. sa_tongue.gif

I don't think anyone would read that since no one even reads Shanky's guide.
