I've made a zone, NTC Zero Evolution and have the ship settings done & staff is just about full, all I need is a map, anyone willing to help gets Mod for sure and more likely SMod, I'll tell you what style I want if you get in contact with me, Matzke17@charter.net

I would have a tendency to believe so, but there again they technically could make them a owner of an arena...
Smod at least... but time to go into a map; priceless. == sysop |

well im sure if you pay someone $$$ they'd do it for those conditions .. but there again most of the better mappers, are busy for the other zones...

A true mapper doesn't need staff. They will make the map for the benefit of the zone and not to benefit themselves. |

I don't do maps. It's just toooooo damn much work. Perhaps if there were a way to simply layout a map in say, Photoshop, and I mean design it entirely in PS, then load it into a program that converts your image (which you'd probably have to export as a gif/png/bmp) into an lvl with the proper tileset and all. And if you've got enough detail such that you run out of room in your tileset, the program would automatically take the overflow and use lvz to take care of it.
Jesus, that'd be sweet. Damn near impossible to code, but sweet nonetheless. |

FACTS will do the first little part, take a bmp and convert it to lvl. It won't do the rest of what I described. I'm talking something like this:
You have a huge map, and by huge I mean it pretty much takes up every available inch. You draw this map in a program such as Photoshop, and it's got all sorts of varying detail. Let's say you're making a Grand Theft Auto zone and your map is a city. You couldn't cram all that detail into one tileset, so you'd have to fit as much as you could into the tileset and do the rest with lvz. I want a program that does all that for me. It would take my image created in Photoshop, convert it to lvl, create a tileset, and take whatever it couldn't fit in the tileset and use lvz to finish up the map.
Like I said, damn near impossible to code, but sweet nonetheless. :] |

Hahahaha. I think you spend more time making riciculous posts here than on managing your zone! _________________ This help is informational only. Lol, thats pretty much the only thing i dont have to worry about finding, everyone who applies to staff ussually says "well i can make maps for the zone"
What kind of map are you lookin for anyways?
Also since when would you make your map makers sysop pfft, youd ahve to many sysops, smods good just have them email it or quickly give them ownership of the arena.
?set Owner userid=####
?set Owner username=Mappersname
It takes like 2 seconds
Or you can change ini to let smods edit maps, or was that settings... _________________ Are you sure this questoin involved an answer? |
