You put an arenaname.cfg in your server folder and edit settings in there.
To make your zone permission only, put a permit.txt in your server folder with the usernames you want permitted. Then change Permission:PermissionMode to 1 in your server.ini. _________________ This help is informational only. No representation is made or warranty given as to its content. You can also make hidden arenas by prefixing # to the name of the arena, like #test. |

You simply name configs as
arenaname.cfg -- will be public
#arenaname.cfg -- will be private _________________ Performance is often the art of cheating carefully. - James Gosling

Simple: You can't. but if you were experienced in bots, you could program it to check on user_enter, see if the user exists in the "allowed" list; and if not have the server boot em. Just an idea... |

With ASSS you could make it a server-side feature, eh, "just an idea" too. |

Read up on www.shanky.com/server/commands.html
Was going to say, it'd be easier w/ ASSS if running windows, get Merv :: plugin it and use the setarena command on a player, instead of booting em.
<< can't get ASSS or Modules to compile on Win32 :/ soo.. |

Well, if you read the www.shanky.com/server/ website you'd find that information... but:
server.cfg
[Prize]
PrizeHideCount=50
PrizeMaxExist=3000
PrizeMinExist=800 |
Prize:PrizeHideCount:::Number of prizes that are regenerated every PrizeDelay.
Prize:PrizeMaxExist:::Maximum amount of time that a hidden prize will remain on screen. (actual time is random)
Prize:PrizeMinExist:::Minimum amount of time that a hidden prize will remain on screen. (actual time is random) |

Yup, although I didn't see any Dutchness in your quote.
I'm sure someone writes a module with arena protection for ASSS, or whatever.
I don't understand why you'd use MERV on ASSS, bots are so obsolete if you run ASSS. |

They may be spread out all over the map, if you have radius of prize spawning = 1024..
back to the ASSS module, like I said.. I have yet been able to compile a module... With either Dev-C++ or MSC++ 6.0; it continues to say missing this and that file; MS C++ 6.0 doesnt support long long, so there'd be edits to that etc etc. |

I believe it'd still be under the [prizes] section.. just read up on your template.sss (open w/ notepad or any other text editor) or edit it via in-game {esc-c}... |

You also need to have the correct userid put in Owner:UserId. |

The whole point of the #hidden arena is only tell the name to the people that need to know about it. No need for a password or you might as well password protect/whitelist a normal arena.
long long:

Cyan~Fire wrote that himself...
These two settings control how far out prizes spawn. But you could just set the initial bounty on each ship higher.
[Prize]
