Hey guys, need some help here if you have any clue.
stats.trenchwars.org works by downloading periodically (every 5 minutes) from a directory server. It has a list of servers and will go down the list until it has completed downloaded the zone list.
I've been having troubles lately with this method, and just yesterday my problem has happened again. It appears that my client is unable to completely download the listings or unable to connect to the servers. I've tried running it on my 24.6K connection here and it works fine so I'm going to assume my code is correct. (Also it has worked for months)
So, are the directory servers blocking me? There really hasn't been a change in the server it runs on so I'd guess it isn't that. Any ideas you may have would be much appreciated so I can fix this problem.
If I am unable to fix this problem then I will most likely have my directory client ping the last zones it saw up if a directory server download fails completely. |

Woohoo, I'd been wondering why it wasn't updating for new zones. _________________ This help is informational only. No representation is made or warranty given as to its content. User assumes all risk of use. Cyan~Fire assumes no responsibility for any loss or delay resulting from such use.

My biller eh. Here's where it stands:
Message system (99% done) - unless i want to change it, it is done
Squad system (100% done)
Chat system (90% done) - completed the regular + owned chat system, only have to test it some more and make sure they coexist well
BANG System (40% done) - basically I haven't gotten it working yet, howeverr I don't suspect this to take too long
Web side interface (0% done) - i'll work on this after i'm done with the biller
Of course there are a lot of little extra ideas I've started to throw in and that I want to do over time. But the core of the biller is complete. Also I'm sure I'll find other things to do in the meantime on it =p. |

Like shit. I have a problem with getting some non-blocking multisession TCP wrappers for C++, and its begining to tick me off. However I do have multithreading and polymprphic server type stuff working, and they all echo properly. Just need a nonblocker before I restart work.
Web interface, good plan. Maybe introduce a Telnet guy too?
And, can I see your source, Ill trade you for mine. |
