Sorry i didn't want this to get lost or ignored from the other one.
what i think should be added/changed is the ?message system. (i wanna see us take this a step further)
Add in the ability to know if the user u have sent the message to, has read it.
?message:list
Sent to Will+>3 Message(s) Pending>3 Message(s) Stored
Sent to Cray Z Virus>1 Message(s) Pending>2 Message(s) Stored
Sending someone a second message replaces the first.
So how about we change that so we are able to send more then one msg per person, to at least 3? Also, when the message had been sent. (as in ?find)
(?message:sent or ?message:list)
(?message:open:user:#)
?message:list
Sent to Will+>3 Message(s) Pending>3 Message(s) Stored
Sent to Cray Z Virus>1 Message(s) Pending>2 Message(s) Stored
?message:open:Cray Z Virus:1
To Cray Z Virus>I got the stuff...i got the money?: Sent 0 days ago:Read
?message:open:Cray Z Virus:2
To Cray Z Virus>WTF you didn't pay me in full!!: Sent 0 days ago:Pending
?message:open:will+:1
To Will+>You owe me money!: Sent 3 week ago:Pending
?message:open:will+:2
To Will+>You still owe me money!: Sent 2 weeks ago:Pending
?message:open:will+:3
To Will+>You owe me A LOT of money!: Sent 1 weeks ago:Pending
To read a message you have sent to a user in cause you have forgotten what you typed to them.
In cause you need to replace a message cause of a typo or something (unable to delete if been read)
?message:username:replace:#(1-3):"Message"
A Delete command. In cause u wanna stop a message going to a user before they get a chance to read them. (unable to delete if been read)
Note: If you delete msg 1, then 2 & 3 move down the line. So that 2 is now 1 and 3 is now 2.
?message:username:del:#(1-3)
New Add On
When prv messaging some one such as "will+: MONEY??!?!?"
If the user has logged out can a message be sent back to the user saying that the user is not logged on.>>>This is helpful in cases where a user might lagged out and u are unaware of it and therefore you do now know if that user got ur message you just sent. This could safe u time as you might blab on for hours
Thank-you all!!

i still think that the next major upgrade to the client apart from the gameplay will be more flexible box menus (IE what you see with ESC-C),, that can expand hierarchially and display server sent data...
in the case of the messages this would entail a "message window" that opens and operates much like the ESC-C box (as stated above). Handling complex commmands, no matter how familiar you are with them, is still cumbersome and clogs your chat lines like nuts
a "friends" box might be nice (with a different name)... to keep track of squads and chats and who is online. Very handy... _________________ Signatures just seem so quaint. |

In theory, all of the messaging stuff could be done, but I'm not sure about the PM stuff, as I don't belive it always goes through the biller, witch would mean that a new server would be required. |

i didnt mean to REPLACE the current PM stuff, just make it prettuer, more 'mechanized' and easier for the new and you to handle w/o all the nutty commands |

I didnt read your reply... Sorry for any confusion.
Yes all of that box stuff would be soooo nice.
However, this would require a standardize format for the client to follow, and as of now, all of the billers that have messaging have a different command structure. Most of the billers also have a different chat notification structure. These kind of problems will make that type of thing, unfortunitly, hard to implement. |

ill tell you why... what if i dont catch the little chat message... what if i need to send my host more than one message? what if im NEW and DONT KNOW what all the ?'s are for?.. shouldnt there be an easier way... i dont know many regular players who use this... its a big privacy plus, and it should be more accessable... how's that? |
