About:
This application is a newly-released a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) command.hlp file editor. I was fed up with guessing what my F1 was going to look like, so I designed this the other day.
I released it here for initial responces, and to find issues that may be left to resolve in the application. I have submitted it to subspacedownloads.com; and should be listed (i'm hoping) someday soon.
It is recommended that you save and backup your F1's before saving with this application, just incase. Please let me know if there are any issues you face with it, and any suggestions you might have.
You need MS Visual Basic 6 Runtimes, MS Common Dialog Control, MS Richtextbox.
You can post responces here or e-mail cypherjf@subspacenetwork.com
This is version 1.1.
Update:
How to use this application:
1.) New Commands.hlp file->
File -> new -> select the folder you wish to create the file in, type in 'commands.hlp' and hit 'open'.
Commands.hlp file requires at least 1 header
# Title
Your extra material here.
# Window2 Title here
Your extra material here.
Once you have text setup, you can color the text by selecting the text, and clicking on the color boxes at the top.
Then once you're done. file->save
Please note, to my knowledge you can't color header's, they're always green. (If someone can correct me on that, let me know.)
----------------------------
I removed the attachment due to continual updating, I didn't want to miss an updated release here.

On the site you need to correct the bit about putting it in a .lvz file, AFAIK it has to be straight in Misc:LevelFiles so ctm can see it. |

this is true
in fact afaik any mods you can add through .lvz (replacement gfx, sfx, etc) can be added in straight through misc:levelfiles and vice versa
not sure what happens if you add an image directly and specify coords through .lvz |

There seem to be issues with save as, it doesn't create a visible file. Although doing save as, then save immediately after works. |

Why does it say I'm missing a header for my window when I try to save? I also notice when I save the file, exit, and then open the file with the program again, it just turns out to be the default welcome.hlp. |

Each time you close the program and open it, it re-loads to the default.hlp file I created...
When it says you're missing a header, you need at least 1 '#'...
.hlp files are like this
#title of page 1
page 1 content w/ colors
#title of page 2
page 2 content w/ colors
etc
hopes this helps you out.
