can lvl files be compressed in some way?
the size of some maps are excruciating! like a map i made is 150kb in size and it bearly used the center of the map! _________________ Owner of CSAU Administration

SubSpace uses zlib for compression during transfer of the file. So, you don't have to worry too much for how long it will take it to send, as it pretty much converts it to zip format while sending. As for why the VIE guys never thought "hey, lets just compress the lvl data inside the lvl itself!", who knows... |

Nice. Anyways, *putfile just sends the file in plain format, ie: no compression. |

sorry i was tired! geez.
anyway that means its always gonna take me ages to send it to the server.
Unless you can think of a way. but that should be a subgame suggesion to enable the use of sending zipped lvl files to the server. its not like no one would think to put that option in ASSS now. but when subgame is updated its like 6mths to a year! |
