...master bot do???

I think your talking about a power-bot? Master bots in SSCX arenas are used to spawn other bots. I'm not sure, but I believe the master bot will start up a seperate program to run the dll file so that if a bot crashes it wont take down the other bots?

The TWCore also uses masterbots. They call them Hub Bots.

It just sits waiting for spawn requests and other centralized tasks, such as updating the bot's staff lists. I don't know about PowerBot, but the TWCore doesn't spawn the new bots in new processes.
