| Okay, when I host my zone it says: "Billing Server connected!" but when I open Continuum, it shows that my zone is offline. How come? |

You're behind a router? You gotta add in your zone as a custom zone using your LAN IP address, or else your router goes a bit nuts. Also make sure you're forwarding Port through Port+1. _________________ This help is informational only. No representation is made or warranty given as to its content. User assumes all risk of use. | In the "Add/Update Zones" menu it says it is online but in the zone list, it says it is offline. |

| I think Donkano was talking about a Dial-up modem, which cannot be directly hooked up to a router. Have you tried connecting to the zone when it looks red? |

LOL!! I was just informed by my brother like 20 mins ago when he came in the door that he changed it so this computer is hooked up to the router too. So he is going to change it back tonight, so basically, forget the whole post.

| But how will your other computers use the cable modem?? SS does work fine behind a router, that's what I'm doing, and I have no problems, why not use it? |

| i agree with cyan because ss does work like the best with a router. using it will make ss work better. but i also disagree because without the router donkano's zone will work beacuse with a router u will need to disable firewalls and open the port ur gonna use fer ur zone. |

| Well you do have to do that with all zones, and router's don't increase performance in SS/Servers, but they do offer extra security. That's the main reason I reccommend it, and also it's not that hard to forward the ports. |

OK I think you were asking if a router will affect bots?
No, not if your ports are forwarded correctly. |
