in several of my zone folders there is a file named "s" of exactly 128 bytes

when I enter a zone with the file in it's folder, the file disappears - the moment I exit the zone, the file reappears

wtf is it?

as far as I know, fudle, this is something new in .38, which means Priit is probably the only person that knows what it is, but MGB or Ekted might know or will be able to contact Priit and find out

and I am far from being a master helper

Have you tried opening it in Notepad to see what's in it? Is it blank? Computer gobbledegook? What?

It's not new for 38, I've seen it before. It's maybe something to do with non-SSC billers.
Other weird stuff I've seen is "îa=ZÖ%[a½¿?¡¶ö", "xg-catidradar.l" and "X-No Way Out.lv", although I could have made a typo with the latter (I don't remember re-saving someone elses map, or even typing file extensions when I save).

no, it occurs in at least one SSC-billed zone in my zones folder

"xg-catidradar.l" and "X-No Way Out.lv" is probably another .lvz (I forget if .lvl's get clipped like .lvz's)

I think I've figured it out, go into any subarena and quit, then an s file is created (probably something to do with the score or saveships).
