You can change the color of most images in the game, including the flag and prize images (can also change most sounds in the game - fyi).
If you're looking to change images for a zone or arena, you will need to make a .lvz file. Download lvztoolkit.zip and unzip it. Also, go ahead and download ssbmp.zip and unzip. You can alter the images that already exist or replace them entirely (be careful if you do this, there are certain things you may need to pay attention to - especially when replacing animated images). Since you want to alter the existing images, just open them up (you want flag.bmp and prizes.bmp) using an appropriate imaging program (eg - mspaint/photosuite/photoshop). You can do pretty much whatever you want, but for many programs it's easy to alter only the colors without actually changing any specific pixels.
Anyways, after you've changed the images to the colors you prefer, save them (as the same names, flag.bmp & prizes.bmp) in the same directory you unzipped lvztoolkit.zip in (good idea to not replace any of the original ssbmp.zip images, as you may want to use them again to alter or as a reference). Change their extensions to .bm2 (so now you have flag.bm2 and prizes.bm2).
If you truly want to understand how to create a .lvz yourself, you should study the Example.ini provided and the information provided in the FAQ Section, but for now I will tell you that to accomplish this particular task, you want to make a .ini file with only this in it:
OutFile=gfx.lvz
File=flag.bm2
File=prizes.bm2
I used gfx.lvz, but you can use whatever name you want. I usually save the .ini as the same name I use for OutFile= . After you make that .ini, save it. Now run buildlevel.exe on your new .ini file, it should create a .lvz file named whatever you put for OutFile= .
So now you have your .lvz file, but you have to get it into your zone or arena. If you're a sysop, simply *putfile gfx.lvz (or whatever it's named) and then add Misc:LevelFiles=gfx.lvz (or whatever it's named =P) to the .cfg file that corresponds to where you want the new images to be used. If you're not a sysop, you will need to get your .lvz to a sysop and have that sysop upload the files (and alter the .cfg, too, if you cannot).
...now...If you happened to just want to change the images that ONLY you see, then after you alter or replace the images (flag.bmp, prizes.bmp, or whatever), just replace the old files in your Continuum>graphics directory (and rename them to .bm2, of course). |

If flashing isnt 2 color it means: u can do like (its possible) half red half green. but that wouldnt be pure 2 color i guess it would be a mix so then how we do a 2 coloered flag? |

If you mean actually having two flags of different color, as I thought Glitch meant, you most likely will not do it.
It's still possible, however. |

what exactly do you mean:
2 TYPES of flags, each a different color
2 colored flags... just flags that flash
you gotta be specific... beofre grav decides to fill more niches and noone bothers to scroll down to your question _________________ Signatures just seem so quaint. |

TWO FLAGS. What, am I speaking gibberish? He asked if there can be two colors of flag, not one flag with two different colors on it. Obviously you can have more than one color on a flag, the DEFAULT flag image has that. When I say it's possible, but probably not going to happen, I'm referring to actually having TWO different flag images for TWO different specific reasons, as I believe Glitch meant. |

its going to have to be complicated as hell... its not auto-supported in this version... so youll have to use a bot of some kind.... my closest thought would be an lvz and a bot.... but that was obvious... youd have to have the location of a player at an lvz spot trigger a command in the bot to change the lvz display and to somehow notify the player... it'd get sticky |

LOL, Don't get so "everything can be done"-ish now
It can't be done, unless you use turf flags. _________________ 3y3 4m l33t h4x0r

Ah don't be a buzzkill, S
It can be done any reasonable way you can think of and then some. It just won't be...probably ever. |
