I'm looking to get my eyes on some reading material. I was wondering where I might find a boat load of info for ASSS, as I'll need to use ASSS for my zone. I was thinking something along the lines of a detailed description of how it works or a "manual" so to speak. Any links or info you can give me is appreciated. Thanks.

I've linked some of my modules on this page:

You will probably have to recompile them to get them to work with the latest versions of Asss. |

i've found the "users guide" and it contains alot of good info... but 3/4 of my questions aren't answered in it. is there a faq? or maybe you could task somebody with documenting?
i will have a spare machine set aside for running asss here in a few weeks, so i'm getting it started and going on my laptop for the time being (Debian) |

Why don't you ask your questions? I can't make a FAQ until I get some frequently asked questions. |

Yeah, Grelminar, um... I was wondering if there was a way to stop the server after you put it in --daemonize mode? |

I think there are two ways of doing it. killing the process or doing ?shutdown as a sysop. |

Power button is, of course, a third option. Most however, like to stay clear of this method unless drastic measures are called for _________________ Hyperspace Owner

Ahhh, I'm logged in via SSH on a remote (:-/ it's 20 ft away lol) computer, so it's a little hard to use the power button; I can't log in as sysop, I'm having problems with that; however "kill" worked on it, so thanks. |

This is a "wiki" on this site http://asss.yi.org:2400/asss/timeline add your questions to it and someone may answer them. Although the site seems to be down ATM. |
