Well im looking for soem person lvz, its for a map called town where each person gets to make thier own house. I thought instead of making us fly around in ships why not have us be humans. But i dont kno how to make ships. Does anyone kno a good shipmaker for me to use? Or if someone can help me make them that would eb good as well. Thanks. |

Well from what I know you have to make 40 rotations by hand if you don't want them just spiraling counterclockwise. Then you just name the Wb Ship1.bm2, Javelin Ship2.bm2 and so on and in the .lvz you type
Outfile=Ships.lvz
File=Ship1.bm2
File=Ship2.bm2
File=Ship3.bm2
File=Ship4.bm2
File=Ship5.bm2
File=Ship6.bm2
File=Ship7.bm2
File=Ship8.bm2
Then you just Build it. |

Buildlevel.exe You get it in the Lvz Toolkit do a search for it on SSDL or just ask MGB it is his after all. |

makelevel is old, it used to have a nice function that buildlevel didn't have, but now buildlevel has it
do not use .bm2, use .bmp or .png or .gif or .jpg, but do not use .bm2
use .bm2 and I kill you (unless you're using it specifically just to fuck with people's minds, then it's okay [like using all .png's renamed .bm2]) |

You don't really need a shipmaker to make ships. You can just use Adobe Photoshop, or any other Graphics Design program. |

A .bm2 is an unfinished version of a .bmp, so you are safer to use that and a .png  |

to rotate just go to subspacedownloads.com, and search the archives for "SOS", is will give you a ship rotating program, very easy to use  |

And btw, rotating vs "turning"... this reminds me that eventhough I have the 3dsmax scene template for shiprolls, I am not sure if I'm gonna use it for my next shipset, simply because of the fact, that althought your own ship is banking, opponents flying around are just turning here and there like a pinned bug. That's why I guess that shiprolls in LVZ will be just a waste of a bandwidth.... |

Ya, but I cannot stand looking at _my_ ship without rolling images; not unless it's little army dudes or something.
Plus, really, at this point downloading the rolling images is not going to take very long at all.
If you have a template for 3ds then why not make it publically available. Then we'll have one for Bryce and 3DS. |

Didn't guess that anybody could use such template - I can't hit anyone good in 3ds max on SS (well specifically dsb). And if there were some 3ds max veteran, he would probably comment it like "pfft, i can do such thing within 5 seconds, not worthy downloading...".
But if your asking for it SuSE, I will clean it up and post somewhere.

AH ffs i meant like in mystic kingdom or like in groud warfare/samurai like seen from the side/above...... i made a ship like that using paint, it's kinda crappy but it's working at least. |
