Ok, this may sound stupid and complex but it just popped into my head First off, Im wondering if you update an .lvl while the server is still running, if new players would get the new .lvl or the old one. Now on for the complex part. "What If" a bot could write to an .lvl, like tile coordinates and people could buy tiles and build there own bases. I guess the map would have designated "build" areas with light numbers to let them know where they could place tiles. Tiles would be simple, like a plain block or door with a !buy block 5008,5952 ( or also a !delete Tile ). If that player left and came back, the new tile would be there? or if that tile was alredy bought but the player cant see it yet, the bot would say that the tile was already purchased. The map would slowly keep evolving with structures the players build until the map is reset for the next game.
Yes, I have alot of time on my hands at the moment ( to much time to think about SS ) |

it's possible, but probably only with regular update times (not immediate updates) - because updating a .lvl recycles the arena |

This sounds like a good idea for an Asss module. Using bricks on a frequency higher than max freq, and changing the image to look like a wall. |

And the people buying tiles would get bored and leave half-finished bases, if not they wouldn't like having to know the exact coordinates of the tiles they need to place to make a base. |

How about having a faint base outline in lvz, just above the stars but below everything else. Each wall/room is numbered and people can buy parts of the base, not just a single tile. |

that's true, you could let people view them privately and buy what they want, then update to reality later on |

But what would they do with their tiles? Is it just like a base-submission system? |

An example could be to divide a blank map in half divided by a door that doesnt open for 1 hour. In this hour the players on each side have to build a base around a flag or flags.. When the time limit is up, the door opens and the flag game starts. I guess this would be for the people who get into the "Role Playing" aspect of games..build your empire and protect it theme. |

The only problem would be people getting accidentally brick warped while making the base. |
