OK with ipconfig, first you need to get to a command prompt (run 'cmd).
Billing server: I think you must have changed the wrong port.
Subbill.ini:Misc:Port=
should be the same as:
Server.ini:Billing:Port=
and DIFFERENT from:
Server.ini:Misc:Port=
If I were you, I would copy your server.cfg (if you've changed anything). And re-extract server.zip over your current folder. Then everything should work, and then you can re-customize. _________________ This help is informational only. No representation is made or warranty given as to its content. If your ip address is 192.168.1.something, then you're behind a router. Is it?
Numbers slow down probably because your CPU now has to deal with subbill AND subgame2, nothing to worry about. |

Not nessecarily, Cyan~Fire. It can either mean that you are behind a router or that you are on a network. In my case it's both.
We had 192.168.1.(blah) waaay before we got cable and a router, because we had a local area network (LAN) |

Which IP do you use...?
Well, IP usually means IP address, and so you'd use "the ip address" as your "IP"... see the similarities? |

No. Use Mine's favorite, www.whatismyip.com, or my way (if you use a Linksys router) of just going to the status page. But my way requires a bit more geekiness.
AlphaBob: Since he said he used cable, not dial-up, then if he's on a network, he uses a router. Just trying to put 2-and-2 together, but maybe I came up with 3... |

my subgame2.exe keeps saying:
Thu Aug 28 00:17:25: Attempting to establish link to billing server...
Thu Aug 28 00:17:45: Attempting to establish link to billing server...
Thu Aug 28 00:18:05: Attempting to establish link to billing server...
Thu Aug 28 00:18:25: Attempting to establish link to billing server...
Thu Aug 28 00:18:29: ERROR: Could not connect to billing server.
Thu Aug 28 00:18:29: Starting server in stand-alone mode.
then my subbill say this and doesnt list any errors:
Thu Aug 28 00:17:14 2003
: SubSpace Billing Server v0.23
and the subbill.exe numbers now go like 1...............................2..............................3...............................4
instead of 12345678910
but then when i close the subgame2.exe, my subbill.exe's numbers go bak to the normal fast speed... |

Subbill.ini:Port
and
Billing:Port need to be the same.
If nothing works, delete your directory and re-extract server.zip.
If you've made any changes to your cfg, then back it up. |

Your cfg shouldn't make any difference with your server connecting to biller.
Then it's probably a problem with Windows.
Try Linux with ASSS |
