Hi all I have set up a zone that I can enter if I add a Custom Zone. It's also shown on the Add/Remove Zone list but it comes up red if I add it that way.

Anyway, nobody can enter my zone. They have the same problem as I do (shows up red on their list after a couple seconds). I have 7100 and 7101 UDP portforwarded (7100 is the port for my zone). Is there something that I forgot to do? Because I really want others to be able to connect icon_sad.gif .

Check what IP the zone is on after you add it from the zone list. You can do this in the Add/Update Zones window or in the main menu by clicking and holding your right-mouse button while having your mouse pointer on your zone.
It should be set to the same IP as the IP that is reported on http://www.whatismyip.com .

Make sure that you dont have a firewall on your computer, and if you do - make sure the ports are port forwarded. Same goes for any routers/gateways/etc.

If you've got a netgear router - I, personally, have had many troubles trying to get it port forwarded - and infact just gave up.

All my ports are forwarded. I even tried it with my firewall off.

The only thing I have is a cable modem, does that need to be portforwarded as well? If that's the case, I have more work on my hands icon_sad.gif I forgot the user+pass on that thing. What a pain!

Sheesh, who needs a zone anyway new_let_it_all_out.gif

Portforward.com helped me get my router portforwarding 7100 and 7101 and the zone works like a charm now. I guess what I thought was portforwarding was opening up two ports on my windows firewall. Well whatever, at least I learned something new.

Thanks for the help guys
