i remember reading somewhere that ?zone could be used to go from one zone to another.
is that true? was it ever true?
like if you were in dbz and you typed ?zone tw, you would end up in tw... _________________ SSC Distension Owner

It is -possible- using the VIE protocol; but I don't think anyone has ever implemented it, I believe asss ignores the biller packet by default build? _________________ Performance is often the art of cheating carefully. - James Gosling |

That would be kind of cool. Seems pretty far fetched though. |

I forgot the guys name but he owned some duck zone or something and he made a biller that would allow you to transfer between 3 or 4 of his zones he had up. He also made it so you would login with a different name while you were still in game I think. I don't know if this was as3 or not. |

?zone <name> used to move you to a new zone. This was a client side command, which was exactly equal to exiting the zone, selecting it on the menu (you even hear the noise of the selection), and hitting Enter Zone.
This was in VIE, never added to Continuum because Priit didn't think it was useful. |

Asss has a redirect module, I'm not sure if it works. It could be for distributed zones since the packet ID is in the cont range, but it also may not even be implemented in the client. _________________ ss news |

Say what? Only the subgames not released by Priitk does it work? I guess that'd make sense since it's believed that the dll hack for subgame Priit introduced the regression. |

No, I meant that the subgames that are run by Priitk it doesn't crash the server. I believe I tried in 17th Parallel / Trench Wars and it didn't crash.
However, nobody knows the correct syntax. (See the previous topic about *sendto.) |

Oh that's right... because people were thinking tw used it to switch players between different subgame instances/hosts. |

It wasn't catid. It was some guy like duck duck or something. He had a lot of spelling issues. He had three levels. He used ?legin <blah> for message op, and another for banop and stuff. It was a weird biller. It has a few cool functions though. |
