What graphic are the pixel stars in? I thought it was colors.bm2, but that didn't seem to work.

Is it even possible to shut them off via .bmp rather than telling users to shut it off manually?

it's part of the skin. i think you might be able too actually if you remove them from you're continuum folder's graphic's. or replace them with black drawing wit hsame name though if you get what you're saying. kinda like making lvz for a zone i guess.

Notice bak isn't talking about the stars and planets background, but about the single pixel dots at the background icon_smile.gif

How? You can even put lvz outside the map. Only way it would fail is if you still wanted the background to be black, since that comes out transparent.

You can make the background almost-black sa_tongue.gif

the color of the background (black) is taken from colors.bm2 ... it would make sense that the star colors also are in there... But I don't remember seeing this during my several tests with that file...
Since they are single-pixel objects, I doubt there is actually a bitmap for them...

edit: just checked colors.bm2 and gradient.bm2 ... none of the colors in there look like it could be it...

Even if you change the background color, the stars are still there. For examples, check ?go mario or ?go thejetsons in Trench
