I realise alot of people ask for specialised bots and this request is probably one in a long list of requests, however, I would be very greatfull if someone could help me with this....
I am looking for a bot which displays a list of the team which just won (like in a flagging game) but instead of being prompted by dropping flags, the list is shown by scoring a goal.
Also the jackpot would need to be rewarded to that team after scoring the goal.
If anyone could help me I'd be eternaly greatfull, thanks. |

Well, there's the soccer bot on catid's site already. That's probably going to be your best bet. (Bots are obsolete.) _________________ This help is informational only. I disagree. Bots are no longer bleeding edge and are easily outperformed, but they are still in wide general use and will remain so for some time. I don't see bots disappearing from the game until asss development gets much easier and development staffs somehow come up with the time to port their existing setup to a completely new system. _________________

Until ASSS development gets easier? It's already easier than MERV at least. (I have no experience with TWCore.)
And just because something is in general use doesn't mean it isn't obsolete. |

Thought this was funny, from the dictionary:
Obsolete:
1. no longer in general use; fallen into disuse:
Obviously until more zones go to ASSS, Bots will be used more than the ASSS modules. Unless its something SSC forces (which I dobut), I don't see all zones switching to ASSS. Just my thoughts though... |

Funny that you also left out the second definition that happens to be my usage. Silly English.
Of course it shouldn't be a forced switch, though. Zone owners need to just realize that ASSS is the way to go and it makes development much easier. Switching to ASSS should be very easy as long as you do it correctly. You can start off by having ASSS emulate subgame, then just transfer bot plugins to modules gradually. |

is there anywhere that list all current known bugs for asss. i know someone that wants to switch their zone to asss, but is worried about stability.
i know on my home pc running windows asss crashes frequently, but i figure it is just my computer.
is the linux version also much more stable than the win version?
thanks. |

One of my many problems with ASSS is that grel went with with a nice modular system, yet is still trying to implement a lot of stuff at the core level. That, and all the other things I very strongly dislike about ASSS.
Grel: You've done a great job and [more generic praise here], but theres some serious design issues (imo) that, if fixed, would make it that much better (and stable). _________________ There are 7 user(s) ignoring me right now. |

the core should be clean and kinda useless at itself.
It should only do the map and the rest to make a ship fly/shoot etc.
But it needs to suport module's which can be used to make events. and other zone extra's. |
