It used to be--until this afternoon--that clicking within the box of a thread (not on the text itself) would take me to the last post I read. Now I am always taken to the first post on the first page. _________________ 4,691 irradiated haggis! |

If you idle too long, the server assigns you a new session, which means all posts are now read. If you'd refresh the page, it would show it as being all read. Your browser is showing a cached page, which has the link of 'newestpost' and not a direct link. The forums software then forwards you to the actual p=555#555 link. This would be the same as clicking the little -> icon next to the thread title.
Sessions are currently set for 3600 seconds of idle time. |

Yes, but normally even when I've been gone a day or more, it remembers the last post I viewed. |

If it happens again, tell me the time on the front page it last said you visited (make sure you force a full refresh of the page) and the thread it had problems with. |

Phpbb doesn't use $_SESSION but its own silly session-handling system, right? I think that's one of the reasons I divorced it. _________________ This help is informational only.
