Hey, I now this isn't exactly a server help question, but perhaps being knowledgeable in that field will help you guys answer a question for me.
My friend seems to have something blocking their connection to Continuum. They use Cox Cable, and they don't seem to have a firewall on.
When they load up the client, it doesn't show any zones as being online, and the download zones command doesn't work.
However, when they attempt to trace one of the zones, it does trace it.
He also has another computer in another room; this one actually loads up the zone list and shows ping times, but any zone you try to connect to it says 'Connection to server lost'
All the zones have perfectly normal looking pings, though there are some big 50 % packetlosses in the trace mode.
Any ideas on what the problem/resolution could be? Perhaps a port is blocked? Or some other router function? And if so, how does one alter that with their internet setup?
Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks. |
