I've tried everything. I followed all the instructions on the Router topic, I found the port forwarding section in my router settings and typed it all in. When I tried adding a custom zone with IP 127.0.0.1, the zone was green, but I could not connect to it. Could it be my firewall? I use the Zonealarm firewall, but I don't know how to make it allow certain ports.

First of all, if you have a firewall good probability that it locks you out.

Secondly, are you behind a router?

I am using a Netgear router. I went into my router settings already and set it to allow the port. I tried it with my firewall off, and it still didn't work.

I also tried unplugging my router, and just using my modem to connect to the internet. The zone was green, and I could enter it, but other people couldn't. It was red to them. So, even without my stupid router, other people can't get in. I don't know what to do.

I tried adding a Custom Zone with 127.0.0.1 as the IP again, and I can connect fine. What does this mean?

Well obviously you aren't forwarding the ports correctly. Make sure you forward them, "allowing" them isn't enough.

I am forwarding them. It's under a section called 'Port Fowarding'...

Did you forward them to the right computer? Did you forward the right ports (Misc:Port trough Misc:Port+1)?

Search for the problem, instead of posting.

I did...

I have a question. When I add the zone, will it always be red to me on my zone list? Do I have to add a custom zone in order to enter my own zone?

If I add a custom zone with 127.0.0.1 as the IP, I can enter fine. Does this mean others should be able to enter normally? I'm pretty I'm forwarding the ports correctly, and I've read all the topics, none of which have helped me. I've done everything.

You must port forward the port you are using on the IP of the computer that is hosting the zone. Look in the router config menu in your browser (192.168.1.1 is the usual address).

I read in the router sticky that you were supposed to go to Start -> Run -> type cmd -> type ipconfig, and then forward to the IP next to 'IP Address'. I have done that.
