I dont mean literally killing a player with *kill... I mean actually destroying someones ship. Is there a way to make Merv actually deplete someones energy and destroy them without actually getting into a ship? I need to know because Im making special attacks for my zone and this would really come in handy. If Im not specific to your liking then feel free to ask...

No that is not possible, since in essence Mervbot is only a client (just like Continuum). _________________

In theory the server is to send the client a fake packet telling it that it had been damaged to a certain capacity which would ensure the player's demise.
Subgame will require much hacking to implant this.
In ASSS it could be coded seperately and implanted much easily in the form of a module. _________________ It matters if you just keep trying. |

that functionaliry is not implemented client side, so doing anything with the server won't work. |

Or it could send a Kill packet to that player, and the client would actually kill themselves that way.
How much of a death do you want? If a bot is going to do it, what is wrong with just setship them back to their original ship, or send a warp prize and ship reset? The only difference is that their score wouldn't include one more death, no death prize, and no little pretty Killed by MERVBot message. |

Have you actually tested that? It's my impression that many people have, and nothing has happened. |

yes
It's the same thing that happens when you PM !kill to a Mervbot spawn. (You have to have the command enabled though). Mervbot will send a kill packet to the server that it has died. It will show a kill message on everyone's screen, but your ship won't explode. |

Uhh what? The !kill in MERVBot works just like any normal SubSpace kill. It's client-side, we're talking about server-side. _________________ This help is informational only.
