In Hockey Zone, for instance, why does the ball phase?
I mean, it certainly makes sense that lag would interfere with the game and cause the server and the clients to not be sure where the ball is, but thats not at all what happens ...
When the ball phases, it always turns transparent for x seconds and then resolidifies exactly where it should be. All the clients see it when it is phased in the same place... so why can't anyone pick it up?
Its really a serious problem in HZ, and it just doesn't seem to make any sense. |

I think this is acctually soposed to happen. I have seen this is just about every zone and its like a delay to untill is is fully stoped the same person cannot pick it up. But then other people can. |

In the settings, under [soccer] section, PassDelay = in 1/100seconds for how long a ball isn't pickable by anyone since it has been shot.
It's how the owner of the zone decideds that it should be.
Excessive latency may cause issues with this, which would be local to the lagged client and not affect the rest (unless they suffer extreme lag as well). _________________ It matters if you just keep trying. |
