I am just getting into working with thigs like this so i'm not sure if it's cuz i'm a noob or cuz i'm stupid but i dont understand this.
i have set up the dll and i have merv running fine.
I can Expand and Shrink the map with the bang comands but the bot will not do it on it's own.
I am sure it's something to do with the bitmap file but i'm not sure what to do with it i have made a bitmap of the lvl but still nothing do i have to mod the lvl file or something to tell the dll what tiles i want it to turn off or what?
Any on understand this enough to help?
dynamic.dll build 1 by Explody Thingy
Warnings:
Does not yet check for balls.
About:
Just what you always wanted. Dynamic Maps.
This is a plugin you can use to create an adjustable map.
Right now, it simply expands and contracts the map one level
via the doors. Later, support for freq sizes based on the
population, as done in Chaos. Eventually, support for kill
count/loss count/average rating/squad count/so on and so forth.
Contributions/ideas welcome.
Compiled in haste, this may have stuff running that wont affect you.
Installation:
In spawns.txt, use dynamic.dll instead of blank.
Set up the .ini file to your preferences.
Use FACTS on the .lvl, take the file-m.bmp, and edit it
so that white (0hFFFFFF) marks off invalid tiles. Place
the name of the bitmap in the Map:Bitmap section.
^---- that's the part that has me lost i have everything else working fine so far

Make the part on the bitmap file that is the limit of the map white (the outside boundaries). |

No, color the part white in paint (once you convert the map to a bitmap using FACTS, as it says). |
