Yes, you cannot connect to a zone if you are running the bilelr on your computer. Why would you do that anyway??? _________________ 3y3 4m l33t h4x0r

Congrats SOS, you've just uttered the most incorrect statement.
It is most likely that your friend's billing section info is not coordinated with yours.
If either of you have fire walls you need to issue the proper authorizations to open the ports the biller and subgame are running on. |

I run my own biller, server and continuum on one pc for developing my zone without probs!
Sure you can do that...
All you need to do is to change the ip of the biller in the server.ini from 127.0.0.1 to "localhost"
Thats all!

This is what you have said.
Irrelevantly to the topic, this is an incorrect statement or otherwise no one would've been able to test their own zones on their own computers.
Something which has been going on for quite some time now.
Fact is that you can connect to a zone while you running the biller on your computer.
So please do not contradict me, and keep the dumbass in your purse.
If you misbehave I have the power to censor you and more, TT belongs to its forum.
As for the person who posted, they must have done something wrong and created incompatabilities between them or that they use ports which are being used for something else at the same time. |

Ok, here it is straight:
You can connect to a zone while you are running said zone's biller. However, for this to work, in the zone's server.ini under [billing] the IP needs to be your dns name. This is the only way to do it.
If you don't know your DNS, post your IP here and I will do a lookup for you.
SOS: it can be done, just not the straight-forward way.
Grav: It can be done, and this is how. _________________ Hyperspace Owner
