Prefix (that means "put at the beginning") the words with a %, so killed would be %killed.
Example after killing me:
I just killed %killed!
This would be this in the game:
I just killed Solo Ace!
You can find the %-words you can use in the F1 help menu. |

How do you mean "it dun work"?
I'm not sure which of these two you mean, so I'll explain them both.
If what I posted in this thread doesn't help you, read this thread.
Sound macro messages
If you send a message with a sound number in it, like "Hi %2" you hear it on your computer (I'm not sure if that can be disabled by the sysops (or whoever runs the server)).
Most servers do not allow players to use sounds in their messages, staff only.
Custom voice sounds
The .wav files you can put in your macro settings are sent to the ticked player.
Assuming you don't know what that means; I'll explain: In the playerlist (which view mode can be toggeled by pressing F2) you can select a player, by moving the cursor (a small, red arrow on the left of the box) to a player by using the Page up/Page down keys on your keyboard.
So, when you use a macro, it is sent to the ticked player.
Notice:
There is a limit for the size of these files (I'm not sure what this limit is, most likely it's 34/35, but I've heard 46 and 52 too, never tried to find out).
I'm not 100% sure why it happened, but when some players tried to use their own wav sounds, their Continuum client sent the full path (with %W in front of it) on their hard drives to the wave files, probably because the file was too big.
For your privacy, test it in your own private arena (or somewhere else where you are alone) or put the file somewhere on your hard drive so that the path doesn't contain any private information (e.g. C:\Documents and Settings\YourFirstName YourLastName\My Documents\ might be a bad place).
If your wav sound file is too big, you'll need to "compress" it, by doing this the sound will lose quality.
Use a search engine to look for a program which can do this for you.
If your sound macro message works, the ticked player will get a "Voice: YourPlayerName" in his/her chat display (a few seconds after you used the macro, the file has to be uploaded to the player), in green, and his/her computer will play the sound.
Some players find these voice messages annoying and turn them off. |

There are two limits:
One, is that the file's size would not be over than (I believe it was) 30kbs.
Two, is that the sampling rate would not be larger than (I believe it was) 11k Hz, 8kbps, mono.
And I'm also pretty sure that only WAVE formats are acceptable. |
