Okay... I am using Explody Thingy's prize3.dll plugin that uses mysql. I have setup my database, however, it says to configure your CFG to your db. Is it a .cfg or .ini file? and..... does anyone have one I can use as a template? it doesn't have one and I have no clue on how to set it up! heeeelp! _________________ No, that was just a love tap... here's the bitch slap!

To splody: Where did the libmysql.dll go?
Doesn't it require it?
And yeah, I have no idea how it's supposed to find out where the MySQL settings of it are, either.

It requires libmysql.dll, you can grab this from practically anywhere; and I believe the INI filename is, sql.ini; with the:
[sql]
Name=
Host=
Port=3306
User=
Pass=
Am probably wrong about it though; You can figure this out by even opening the dll in notepad and searching for "SQL" (although not recommended).
I had helped someone else out who was trying to use this, and yeah; I thought explody said he included the new files; you should also talk to him for a new possible version, that someone said he had.. :/ _________________ Performance is often the art of cheating carefully. - James Gosling
libMySQL.dll
libmysql.zip - 128.84 KB

Okies.... I got some good info from this thread and from another thread I posted in about the Duel plugin... so I got it to connect to my db... I setup my db like the directions said.... so now when I do a !help prizeadd to the bot, it gives me this:
FE_Pub_Bot> !prizeadd [-s=<#>[,<#>...]] [-b=<#>] [-x=mm:dd:yyyy] <Name>
FE_Pub_Bot> -s=<#>[,<#>] Add specials. ex: -s=10 -s=10,15,20.
FE_Pub_Bot> -b=<#> Add bounty. ex: -s=10 -s=10000.
FE_Pub_Bot> -x=<##:##:####> Set expiration. ex: -x=01:01:2009. UNIMPLEMENTED
Sooooo.. I do:
/!prizeadd -b=1000 Blackmoon 2.0
And I get:
FE_Pub_Bot> Error: Missing recipient name.
Anyone help me out with this? possibly??

I guess it's just bugged, harass Explody Thingy in game.
You might want to try checking if you provided a correct name.

I've tried it without spaces and with the other sysop Ghost-Rider. Still no go.
Also, you can get the plugin from catid.ssihosting.com and go into Explody Thingy's section. That is where I got it from.

The zip is old. Its fixed now, Ill upload it tonight probably. I just put a ! operator on the wrong line, and didnt package the cfg or ini or whatever i used. Oh and I use cfg and ini interchangably. _________________ There are no stupid question, but there are many inquisitive idiots.

Explody... you are the man!
however.... it says it has connected to my db and when I do !prizeadd it says the prize has been added.... but.....
it says... unknown column in 'specials' in 'field list'. ???? any idea? the old readme text with the table setups says that specials must be a 32bit value... how do you set that??

Dont remember, I used MySQLL CC and played with a GUI. Its should be an int size 32, or bigint or whatever mysql calls it. And try naming it Specials not specials.

I renamed 'specials' to 'special' and it seemed to work.... now... I cannot set the expiration date (I believe it is unimplemented, right?)... and players cannot !prizelist or !prizeme <#> to the bot.

Expiration dates dont work because Im lazy about parsing things.
Use !prizeview Im lazy about updating help and docs that come with things. Dont use the <>s or quotes or anything else either, just the number.
