Its been a while since I made a zone but I recall if you kept the door settings on random, some doors would open and close more often than others.

Is this right and which ones are faster or slower? Or is there a setting for this?

I do not want to control the doors or make it so it always opens and closes at certain times, like every other message I read when I searched for this.

Random door open/close alternating between gate 1 and 2 is set as -1
Gate 1 open while gate 2 is closed is set as 1
Gate 2 open while gate 1 is closed is set as 0

Command: ?set door:doormode:

If you want it set as random set as -1 unless you wanna bribe 50% Packetloss to make you a specially made doorbot for your needs.

Edit: You want settings, get ASSS.

Sorry for double post.

I looked in the template.sss and got this:
Door:DoorMode:::Door mode (-2=all doors completely random, -1=weighted random (some doors open more often than others), 0-255=fixed doors (1 bit of byte for each door specifying whether it is open or not)

Which doors would open more often than others if set to -1?

Did you not comprehend what "random" means?

I understand "random."

I don't understand "-1=weighted random (some doors open more often than others)."

There are eight gates listed as 1A-1D and 2A-2D. Which ones open more often than others?

IT IS RANDOM - It keeps switching the weight. Impossible to determine.

Then whats "-2=all doors completely random" stand for?

And why would they say that some doors open more often than others if it is random?

Ah fuck it. I'll get off my ass and start a server to test them and figure it out.

It's not completely random, Donkano.

I believe the right-most doors switch places more often than the left-most.

Door:DoorDelay:::How often doors attempt to switch their state.

I think this is 1/100 second. When you set it to 400 the doors will 'decide' every 4 seconds if they want to switch their state. With -2 there is no difference between the 8 doors (4 vertical, 4 horizontal). With -1 for some doors it's more probable that they will switch than for others. That's how I remember it. I just don't know if right most or left most have greater probability.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The correct answear would be DoorMode=-1, the weighted doors.
The sequence, if I remember correctly moves from the far most door tile on the left to the right-most door tile, where as the far left opens/closes the most often, and on the right the delay is highest.
