im running a test zone and i was looking for a few people to help me do it, after i can see what i can do / remeber from long ago, my intentions were to shut the zone down. but depending on what comes out of it, ill probably try to get it hosted and have it up perminatly.

i have it runin of my PC and i would like a bot to throw in there.

nothing too complex with a shitload of plugins.

just a few basic things to get s**t started.

email me, im me, w.e
just get back to me if u wanna make this thing work.

annnd one more thing,
dont try n screw me n "hack me" either, you'll regret it.

serious ppl only icon_smile.gif

No offense, but if anything, you're the one that looks not really serious here... You don't seem to know what you want and you type like a 10 years old :/

I encourage you to play with that stuff on your own, learn how it works, ask questions if you need to, and establish a clear plan before you think of starting an actual zone.
The bots, for example, go find the plugins you want, get a bot, run them, test them, etc.

My 2 cents

http://www.mervbot.com/ for the bot and plugins.

http://www.hlrse.net/subspace/Commands.zip for the latest Commands.hlp file (for Continuum).

http://www.hlrse.net/subspace/ServerKit-Full.exe for the all-in-one, on-demand, pre-configured server kit for SubSpace.

the zone im workin with is SPBH Under Construction

if u wanna pop in sometime when i have it up your more than welcome. maybe then communication would be alot better than post on here lol

but this is only my second time trying to create a zone. the first time was when i was 15 and didnt know really anything. i got screwed over and some A-wipe hacked my comp and crashed it.

thats why i seemed a little off i should say. but if your willing to help out thats great, but if not i understand. icon_smile.gif

If you don't want someone to be able to take over your zone:

[Validation]
CheckMod=0 <-- can be 1 as well if you want... but this allows you to /*moderator someone at any time, which can be useful
CheckSMod=1
CheckSysop=1

^
Setting these to 1 mean that even if someone enters the sysop/smod password, he will only be given powers if he appears in smod.txt or sysop.txt

Add passwords for smod and sysop in the [Password] section, and when you log in, use:

yourplayerpassword*sysoppassword

as login password (either in your profile, or type it in if you don't want to check 'save password')

OR

login with yourplayerpassword like you normally would, and when ingame, type *sysoppassword

Both methods are equivalent, but the second one has the disadvantage of being prone to typos and revealing the password to everyone in pub chat...

The sysop password is also required for your bots... the same way, you'll set the passwords in the mervbot spawns.txt to botpassword*sysoppassword

Your bots also need to appear in vip.txt and sysop.txt

^
Note that some bots can work fine without being sysop, depends on what plugins you use... you might want to give them just the level of power they need (at least mod)

Er, I'm pretty sure you can still do /*moderator on someone without any problems even if this is set to 1. It's only when you do *super and *ufo when Subgame2 goes nuts.

*super goes nuts because of failed security checksums. This does not happen on ASSS because overridden settings are included in the checksum.
