Tags you should use when posting a question. Place these into your subject line so the correct people can help you answer your questions.
Compilers:
[VC6] - Visual Studios 6.0. If you use 5, label it as [VC5]
[VCN] - Visual Studios .NET (or get the 2005 Beta for free)
[VC2003] - Visual C++ 2003 Toolkit, free command line compiler from Microsoft
[BOR] - Borland C++ Builder
[DEV] - DEV-C++
[GCC] -GNU's GCC, please include which version you currently have in your post
Operating System:
[win98], [win2k], [winxp] - Windows, please include which windows version your using.
[linux] - Using a Linux/Unix system. Inside your post, please try and state which distribution you are current using.
[macX] - Mac X, please include which version your currently using. NOTE: Server software currently not supported for macs
If your compiler has an output of error messages, please include it as an attachment. If your using a IDE (like Visual Studios), you should be able to copy/paste the output into a .txt file, save it to your desktop, then attach it to your post. If your using a command line compiler, you can use an internal option to save the output to a file, or use " > output.txt" appended to your command.
If you are requested to post a certain file, and it contains more than 10 lines of data, post it as an attachment. This board has been setup to accept most of ASSS's file endings. If your attachment has an invalid ending, just zip it up and post it. Looking at long, long lines of data in a post is ugly, and slows us down when attempting to assist you. Posting as an attachment lets us view your problem and the errored data side-by-side instead of having to scroll back and forth.

We are here to assist you in getting your copy of the server software compiled, edited, etc. If you do not know how to do any programming in C, Python, or any another programming language, do some searches on Google to find public information about learning to program. If anyone does find some good sources, feel free to Private Message me via the forum's messaging feature.
