Misc User Apps - [C] SubSpace Continuum Directory Cheese - Sat Feb 14, 2015 1:24 am Post subject: [C] SubSpace Continuum Directory
As part of the initiative to get this spaceship game listed on Steam, I have created SubSpace Continuum Directory.
This is probably the only directory to be written in the last 5 years, and is probably the first directory to be able to use a MySQL database.
The reason this was completed first was simply because it was the easiest to get done.
Additionally, it was a proof of concept test for the core modules that would be used by every server executable for the game.
This is the first version I deemed stable and functional enough to be used by the public.
This project is open source, modular, and is written in the same style as ASSS.
Everyone is free to contribute!

If you want to make a subspace client I would start with the subspace 1.32 to 1.35 since it would be a piece of cake to decompile those.
Now that IDA 6.6 / HexRays 2.0 was leaked barely any manual work is required other then guessing a few struct names and renaming the functions accordingly.
Then start adding continuum, LVZ support and that's about it.
That should save you a few months.
Here is a retail CD of subspace 1.32 to get you started that's what I used when decompiling the server to recompilable C code
