Post subject: Who can waste the most resources for nothing?

A good chunk of you guys (15% actually) have Auto-Subscribe (Always notify me of replies) set. This isn't too bad, except a few of you post a lot more than everyone else. Thus, the watch_topic SQL table got a little bit. It wasn't bad, but a huge waste of resources that are now about the same as how much this post, the image, and all its replies will take up.

To help clear up some of the space, the top five user's watch-list has been cleared except for the last 50 newest topics. Everyone else had less than 50 topics being watched. In the future, I just might make it so all topics being watched that havn't been posted in for the past 6 months will be removed. If you really want to remember a specific topic, these forums support its own internal Bookmark feature best suited for long term storage. How I remember all the good topics.

So who were these people? Well, here is a top ten list before clearing out 60% of the watch list:

Most of those on my list is because of it being on by the setting and I'm just lazy to clear em out. Its been switched off in my profile for some time now...

You could clear my list out w/o any problem -- the few that I did want to watch are now resolved etc etc...

If i was 2% at 42 matches.. lol

Edit: cleaned it out myself.

8 days late, but I felt like visiting the forums today so this is only a minor bump, glad I made #5 in resource hoarding it makes me feel special. You should include a feature that makes it so that it deletes all watches in topic if there has been no activity in 1 week that would cut down on the topic watching.

Just glad I am a valued resource hoarder.

Edit: ooh second page bump you can't beat that. Looks like I am going to have to watch this seeing as I won't be coming back for another 2 weeks+
