MS PaintBrush all the way baby! icon_wink.gif

All in all, I think I would be able to say that after years of using it, I did some very pretty graphic fixing jobs with it, even I have no clue at all when it comes to graphics, and I had to work pixel by pixel when editing things to fit together.

I have no idea how those layers work.
I do the same Grav.

Heh, if I have to something when it comes to graphics I can't stop working on it because I never think it looks good enough.
And mostly it doesn't look good enough. icon_sad.gif

A true artist can work with only 250 polygons, a true artist can use 8 bit colors or 256, a trust artist run ms paintbrush and whip up some ass kicking graphics.
Because a true artist got creative skills, not magic tools.

Fixed. Allowing ignoring of Admins/Mods after a warning is issued. Also added the warning to ignoring yourself.

Phew.
Also, ignored people show age (possibly gender as well) of those who post above them.
Not much of a crucial bug, but it's cosmetic (and an intriguing bug to solve).

BTW, I get this error entering the page.

RanPostamble is undefined
Row : 38
Characters : 3
Code : 0

Fixed the age. The ignore section is before all the resetting of variables, thus it has its own little list of resetting of variables. Age/Gender were extra mods.

As for that error, what is giving it to you? IE? Or the forums? Screenshot if possible.

Photoshop is not about being an artist. It's about having the tools to do what you intend to do. Say you have an image, and you want to put something on top of it. You open the image on Paint, draw something on it. Ooops, it needs to be 10 pixels to the left. Start over, or major edit work. In Photoshop, slide the top layer 10 pixels. Done.

I have zero art skill, but I can use all the awesome features in Photoshop to create "techie" stuff as I need it. Even ignoring the layers aspects (which are huge), there are dozens of can't-live-without features like selection (arbitrary, not just rectangle/ellipse) and edits of selection area, grids, rulers, brushes, airbrushes, gradients, blurs, on and on, even a measure tool that's sure to confuse the hell out of Akai. icon_smile.gif

speaking of photoshop...do color tables/palettes matter in continuum?
Mr Ekted - Fri Feb 25, 2005 7:12 pm
Post subject:
You can run Cont in any color depth your monitor supports. However if your make a zone with 24-bit graphics, players that run 8-bit color might see crap, and of course downloading any graphics will take 3x longer.

I believe SSME barfs if it tries to load an LVL file that is not 8-bit (or less than 256 colors) because LJC didn't use the OS functions to load the tileset; he loaded it manually expecting all the fields to be in "standard" places, which is really dumb.

i always make my final images usually in index mode (256) colors but do color palettes and tables really matter in photoshop for continuum?
Mr Ekted - Fri Feb 25, 2005 8:10 pm
Post subject:
If Cont is run in 8-bit color it uses only the VIE palette. If you save your images as arbitrary 8-bit (eg best fit) they will likely look terrible when mapped to the VIE palette at load time.

A color palette and a color table are the same thing.
