Post subject: Jackpot bot
Does anyone have a jackpot bot?

A bot that do the *objon numbers.

for example: If the jackpot is 900 so the bot will need to type quickly *objon 900, *objon 901 and *objon 902

Is there a .dll for that somewhere?

Where can I get a tutorial?

1st step: Know c++, its a programming language
2nd step: Download catid's bot and dll source, along with some example code

For a JP bot youll need the bot to send ?jackpot every so often to the server so that the bot can refresh the JP lvz display. There is probably a better way of doing it but i dont have the bot's code in front of me

As far as I know, 50% you're right, it has to continually send out ?jackpot commands and read them in manually. icon_smile.gif

I wrote a bot that does it...
I had to format my hdd, but I send some people a copy of it.
Maybe I can get it back for you and attach it here.

Include the source, if possible, so he can learn from it.

Does anyone of you know how to contact Sass, the creator of CWZ?
He's the one I sent the copy to.

I don't think I sent him the source code, though.
So the source will be lost forever icon_sad.gif

Sass no longer plays and is hardly available online. However, you had sent me something w/ the jackpot lvz. I'll go look, if I find something I'll return to this topic.

edit: here it is. src & binary.

Do you know c++? You wont learn anything without a clear understanding of programming and the language.

Oh, great icon_smile.gif
I can't remember sending you a copy though icon_rolleyes.gif

I wrote a documentation on how to setup the bot, too... but well, you know what happened to it. icon_wink.gif

Me disagrees there, it is possible to learn from it by just reading it without "a clear understanding of programming and the language", it'd just take much longer. sa_tongue.gif

More than likely, you'll learn the effect of what it does; but now how the language accomplishes it. :/

I didn't mean it like that, pfft, dorks.

Of course you would have to get to know what you're actually doing.

I started without knowing what I was doing (I had no idea where to start, reading the English tutorial on cplusplus.com/ was boring and I had no idea what they were talking about.
It took me a while before I started to know what I was actually doing.
Eventually I started all over again because I was lost.

So, I'm saying it is possible, I'm not saying it's good. icon_sad.gif

"Deadly Soldier" or whatever his name is started like I did, and uhm, I hope he gets lost soon.

And why did you want to say something mean, D1st0rt, you had no reasons for being mean! icon_smile.gif

Post subject: fixscore
(I want to include this into this plugin so it will be easier to use)
If you win a jackpot greater than the most possible points allowed, and you go negative points, can you !fixscore after your points go negative?
The only way i think you could do that is if everyscore was recored then reversed so you would get your points back. Am i right?

Oh, and the hell it does! Pretty funny seeing people at the top10 list, then their points going negative and then they lose all their fame. Funny. icon_lol.gif

Also, I don't think any staff in Halo CTF knows how to solve this problem. sa_tongue.gif
Solo Ace - Tue Dec 21, 2004 6:07 pm

In T3G they had (and probably still have) that "problem", and the bot in public just had some plugin (or it was coded in the core, whatever) with a fixscore command for people to fix it.

I don't like zones that have ridiculously high point rewards, I think you should have to work hard to get a lot of points (ie 100,000)

All you have to do is not set such noobishly high rewards. I mean, come on.

I can just imagine:
Agurus> I JUST GOT 1000000000 PTS! HAHAHAHA
lp_street> WELL I JUST GOT 2000000000! I'M MORE OF A MAN THAN YOU.

Anyway, I totally agree with D1s.

Hi,

The dll you attached comes with a readme, in which it refers to jp.ini for the lvz settings, and uhh.. It doesn't come with a jp.ini. tongue.gif

What would usually be in the ini?

Thanks,
Dvon
