A very intelligent question.

What do you mean by registering a bot?
Creating a new username?

I don't know about other bots but MERVBot can "register" (as in: create a new username) itself.

Of course you can use your regular Continuum client to create a new username and pass the information to the bot, too.

Are you being sarcastic? icon_razz.gif

When you just enter a username the biller doesn't know it attempts to register it automatically.

mervbot fills out the subspace registration form with all of the specified information. The form you sit isnt the only thing sent, there are some windows keys and i believe some hardware information sent aswell. Along with your real name (assuming that you registed windows with your real name).

Who are you solo ace?

Why are you asking that?

Just seems that you are giving a lot of newbs a hard time. Just wanted to know if you have the expertise necessary to help people with their mervbot problems. As Arnold would say it, "Who is your daddy and what does he do?"

From what I've gathered, Solo used to work in T3G, and now has removed himself from the game except for asss programming and here

Was my answer wrong then?

Well, yes, I have worked with MERVBot and ASSS for a while in T3G, I don't remember much, but yet I don't see why you "wonder" if I have the expertise to help merv n0bs.

I'm still active here, on SSQDB, and well, those other two things I put online somewhere.

Nope, your answer is correct.
I am accustom to certain people posting on the bot forums, all of which I know are familiar with mervbot. I just wanted to know that while you are being an asshole, you are still giving players accurate information and helping them with their problems. I dont mean to sound authoritative(because in fact i have none), I just want to know that new players can come here to ask thier questions and recieve answers.

Being an asshole?
If you think this is me being an asshole, you ain't seen nothing yet. icon_razz.gif

I don't think I sound like one most of the time, but whatever.
Aren't you missing a few words in your sentences in your last post? I can't fully understand what you exactly mean with some things. icon_smile.gif

Eh, if you wanted to know, you could've found out by reading my posts. icon_razz.gif

I get (converted from our, to your style of judging tests etc.) A's in English, but I even "pwn" my teacher at it sometimes, so I guess education in Holland sucks. icon_wink.gif

I got a B+ in English last year. I should've gotten an A, but the lazy ass secretaries never processed the grade change my teacher sent in icon_sad.gif

What you quoted isn't related to your question. icon_confused.gif

Anyway, what do you mean? Register a bot?

Solo Ace wrote:

That's the only answer I can think of.
Explain what you exactly mean, asking "Hwo do u register bot without merv bot?" isn't enough. icon_confused.gif

You can just log in with the bot username and password to register yourself if you want.
But I suggest you don't use bots anymore because Isaac Asimov told you not to. Ha. Ha. Ha.

I said that before and just quoted it:

I'm currently reading the foundation series, and hating the robot movie. They only took the title, idiots.

Same here Cyan. I'm on Second Foundation.

Though the movie was so different that I actually enjoyed it.

The movie would be OK if it didn't have the title. But taking Asimov's original title and then completely breaking the 1st law is just... sick.

I started Foundation maybe 20 years ago and never finished it. Planning on restarting the entire series when I finish with the current pile'o'books.

Isn't the whole point of the book 'I, Robot' to challenge and find nuances in the three laws?
