Trash Talk - Creating scripts to update mozilla+acrobat goooner - Mon Jun 28, 2010 12:41 pm Post subject: Creating scripts to update mozilla+acrobat
Hi everyone,
a good mate of mine sent me this link and said that you could help me with my little problem. I must say that I'm not an IT professional (I'm a molecular biologist ) responsible for our sever
My problem is that I'm responsible for 30 workstations connected to a server. On all of these WS's the default browser is FF. Now every time there is a FF update I have to run around and install the new version on each Ws. The same for acrobat and all the essential add-ons. It would be nice if I could have these updates on the server, and then have each ws be updated when started. I have WSUS for the microsof products but I don't know anything about creating scripts.
I have Microsoft 2008 R2(64bit) installed on my server (in German), while most of the Ws's are xp(32bit) with a few Windows 7 (64bit) machines in between.
Hopefully one of you can help me. I've started testing google's chrome, in the hope that this maybe this will be the easier option...

Hi goooner,
You've posted on a forum meant for the server software of an online 2D space-shooter game named 'Continuum' (formerly known as 'Subspace').
With that in mind, I think you've posted at the wrong forum for this kind of question. I would suggest you retry posting your question at a different, more specialized, website / forum like http://serverfault.com/ or http://www.wsus.info .
