To my understanding once someone dies and rots away in decay they lose everything and are left with only bone. So to my next understanding does this mean if they are ressurected would they become a living puppet? It makes sense to me but I can't grasp to fully explain this death puppet theory.

Eight182 responded by email with this: resurrection is only a theory too, which in olden times was more associated with believing somebody to be dead, a condition which they knew they could not cure medically.. but suddenly the person might awaken later and it would be hailed as a miraculous resurrection. sometimes even in modern day, people are incorrectly declared dead and they're sent off to the morgue where they wake up. unfortunately in the old days, especially with superstitions about disease, the dead person might be buried in a makeshift coffin within hours, and only a small percentage of people who wake up in a coffin from a near-death experience might actually be strong enough to break the box and dig their way out.

technology today is able to revive people who would normally die if the only help they could receive was from other humans, and through cryogenics we might one day be able to 'resurrect' somebody from a frozen state, though they are technically dead.

I doubt a skeleton could be animated without using technological means to re-attach its bones once the cartiledge was gone, and using strings in place of muscles to move the limbs. Even then, the apparatus would need a puppeteer or other technological control mechanism.

Wow crazy to think someone could wake up after being buried and unsuccessfully try breaking/digging their way out.. Imagine digging up a grave to see the coffin broken and a hand sticking out.
