how come when i increase the tallfont.bm2 size in a lvz arena that it doesnt work, but i can drag a larger tallfont to a zone folder and it works just fine? I can change the font ok in a lvz but not resize!

Hrmmm, a bit confusing, but.
Make sure your lvz has the entry "File=tallfont.bm2", was built with Buildlevel (0.37).exe ( not just buildlevel.exe, it may be the Buildlevel for .38 ) and have Misc:LevelFiles=filename.lvz in your .cfg .
If you still don't know what's up, post again.

You now I even looked in the zone file after and it was there! It just wouldnt display in the game. Im switching over to .38 today so i'll see if that works

ya, I believe it still downloads, just has some display problems, if you go to .38 it will probably work, if not, you have another problem altogether
