I am a developer for an ad agency. I do HTML/CSS coding and some PHP.
I use server side includes and php often on other sites with managed hosting. This company has its own server and both php and server side includes are not working.
Could someone help me understand how servers are set up and what this company needs to do to get this working?

You're posting on a subspace server forum (the server of a online space game called Continuum).
This forum probably can't give you the proper help you're seeking for.
A forum like webhostingtalk.com would be more suitable for your question/problem.
