Not sure to understand everything in there... what would keep a bot from posting as a guest? That pretty pony thing seems to do something on the signup, but.. emm.. I have no idea what's happening in there, actually tongue.gif

There is a hidden field when signing up that is populated from the GET request on that page. So when you sign up, if you don't have that in your URL, you'll never get past that page no matter what you fill in any field.

For guest posting, there is just that "Check here to verify you are a guest" box. And the posting page is called "makepost.php" not "posting.php" or whatever the original is (which if you hit more than 20 or so times, you'll be banned for a day).

well, technically probably not a bot; however, it's probably some indian dude paid 5 cents a day to find forums like these to spam; like he has a permanent clipboard with that crappy text and pastes it wherever he can.
Just Take a look at this lol; I just wonder how his searches for pokemon-related material brought him in here

Since no one seems to get it (including MGB)...

A few years back, he got sick of people using some internet meme (probably lol or something, I don't remember), so he added a bit of code to replace any instance of it in your post with "yams." I've simply done the same thing in HS with the word "newb."

Oh, I got it. I just thought it was very obscure, but I do remember what I've done. I stole it from the idea that The Something Awful Forums uses YAMS as their replacement filter for words like iframe.
