I've just released Starlight, a chat client for Continuum, on my website. It works with both ASSS and Subgame and doesn't need special privileges - you can use this without VIP. Download it here: Starlight 1.0 Download.

It doesn't need VIP, does that mean subgames security checks have been circumvented or cont encryption has been cracked?

The latter. Continuum's encryption has been cracked. Fortunately its still a secret. StarLight uses Snrrrubs own oracle service for its continuum encryption needs http://sharvil.nanavati.net/projects/subspace/encryption.html

I added Continuum Encryption support using this service to my SSAPI a while back... http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?s=&showtopic=17841&view=findpost&p=214676

I can't confirm but I believe so?

He has a couple of oracle services which will do the encrypt/decrypt for you. Some packets are still flagged for security violations.

Bak, I use components which I can't redistribute in source form; I simply do not have a license. The components include cross-platform threading, networking, encryption, primitive data types, string encodings, serialization, logging, timing, and a few other things. If you're willing to build equivalent libraries with the same interface and semantics, I'd be more than happy to open source Starlight.

kozy, it's now possible to write applications that use the Continuum protocol and encryption based on the Oracle.

CypherJF, I don't know of any packets that would generate warnings but I'd love to investigate further. What sorts of warnings are generated and are they reproducible? Please do let me know so that I can correct any errors. Thanks!
