Trash Talk - Ani's Summer Programming Projects Animate Dreams - Sat Apr 19, 2008 8:48 pm Post subject: Ani's Summer Programming Projects
I'm in the process of making a to-do list for this summer(because I have a C# project due on Tuesday), so I figured I'd post my programming projects here. I forgot most of them so I'll probably be editing this post.
AniList v1.0
Finish making a Duel module for AS3 that can use region-defined duel boxes and can record matches
Make a Tetris clone using SDL so you can learn how to use events well

start referring to ASSS as ASSS instead of AS3

that's not on the list
I refer to DeDeDe(from the Kirby games, and in SSBB) as D3 most of the time as well

It would be faster to make pong or avalanche than tetris. Once I made a version of avalanche for the purposes of testing a TCP network library I was building, I can't remember what happened to that.

Didn't you make that for palm?
Also, what ever happened to that air power game

I was actually planning on making tetris too, but my digital hockey program is usually what i end up working on.

Tetris isn't that hard. I made a nice Java version for a final project in one of my first programming classes.

Yeah I made a version of avalanche for palm. I also made a PSP version to learn how to code on that (unreleased).
Air power was dropped a long time ago. Someone was interested in continuing it, but I don't think anything has happened yet. I can say I'm currently making another air game but it will play completely differently. You could call it a sequel?

It might be easier to make Pong, but it wouldn't make me learn as much. Besides, when I said Tetris, I meant Puyo Puyo. I'm a huge Puyo fan, and I'd love to have a version that I could customize myself, and control all the aspects of multiplayer. I might even make it so the user can customize it, not just the person with the code. And then maybe, far in the future, I could add online play. Any program I make is probably gonna suck, but maybe after a few years, it'll be pretty good. There are a few other things that belong on this list, but I keep forgetting them. Oh yeah, I'll probably start work on some kind of zone for Continuum, but I doubt I'll release it. It's just to teach my friends who are trying to learn how to program.
