Post subject: Map crashes server
I am hosting a zone called SSM Rapid Fire. The owner is a newb but I am also having trouble with this one.

If he uploads the map, it crashes the zone and it won't come back up. If I try to restart it, it gives me the Illegal Error thing. The one with Send : Don't Send crap. He uses DCME but he has the latest version, I have the latest version and we have also used "Saved as SSME Compatible"

I dont know if the map is too large or if there is just something wrong. Im not sure.

The map name is actually called rapid.lvl not Public_03.lvl and its actually called server.ini, not server1.ini

I just have a temp map up for it called rapid.lvl so I can't use that name.
And I was too lazy to write down all the passwords so I just saved it as server1.ini

Thanks for any kind of help.

Here is the map and the server.ini...

Try this version icon_smile.gif

Seems your tileset may have been 24bit?

Ive read that the public version of asss doesn't support that yet. So I converted it to 8bit, 256 colors and seems to run fine.

yeah, DCME makes 24bit tilesets by default... We'll need to make it save the tileset as 8bit when saving as ssme compatible... hm

And fix the 24bit thing for ASSS already tongue.gif lazy bums tongue.gif

Well he somehow found it out. Seemed like putting tiles around the whole map so flags stay in wasn't a good idea....

Anyways, thanks.

a) it is fixed (just not in the public version, but I think I released a patched dll inside my regiontriggers module).
b) this guy is using subgame since he posted server.ini.
