Another Flabby.tv Production.

Its truely crappy

code need ALOT of work.
cut corners here,there and everywhere but hey, it works!

Try it for fun and games.

Features:

- listens to zone updates
- provides dir server list to continuum
- zones saved in the server for 1 day without updates. Then deleted
- password protected names.

- written in python 2.5 - needs 2.5 to run (unless u use the binarys .exe)
- only about 160 lines long

Don't go too harsh on yourself. Your code is simplistic, which makes it easy for others to get a basic understanding of how the directory protocol works. So it is a good tool for learning from, and can be easily expanded.

The reason for my harshness it it makes no attempt to implement the subspace protocol correctly. It just fools the client by pressing the right buttons into thinking its communicating using the protocol. It sends "reliable packets" but ignores ACKs sent back to it by clients.

ya http://forums.minegoboom.com/viewtopic.php?t=7149, but it didnt work, crashed continuum when u downloaded zones. I could probably fix it now though as I know where I went wrong (needed to use the 0x0A packet to split zone entries over serveral udp packets).

Compared to the other dirserv quite a few zones are now coming up as "new description" when I don't think they should be.

someone (there name was death?????? cant remeber the end was in a squad duel lol) was trying to get hold of me about writing a perl based client or something. please reply here or pm me if u still need to get hold of me.
