Post subject: Server Questions
Okay, I'm almost positive my problems have been solved in other threads, but here's what's up:

I'm running wirless from my pc into a linksys router which is connected to a belkin router which is connected to my modem.

My PC ))) Linksys Router - Belkin Router - Modem

I have the ports forwarded on both of the routers and I believe I have all the settings correct. When I run my subgame and biller, it connects fine. I can access my zone if I Add Custom, but it does Not appear on the Download List. I am attaching my server.ini to this post. Thanks for any help!

Try adding this to the entries on your IP under [Directory]
sscentral.sscuservers.net

I don't know if the other ones still exist.

sscentral.sscuservers.net,ssdir.playsubspace.com,zones.sscentral.com should work.

Bleh, okay, people can see it on the download list now, but it shows up as red to everyone (including myself)

Make sure the zone port and the zone port + 1 is unblocked (UDP).

Like if your zone is on port 5000, unblock 5000 and 5001.

Good luck!

No luck... any other ideas?

I always had to use my LAN IP as my IP under [Billing] and I never used the ServerIP thing. I always left it blank. I don't use subgame anymore, but that was my only problem I ever had (aside from blocked ports).

Are you on SST?

Is your actual server.ini called server[1].ini ? I don't think it will work with the [1] in it.

Cancer+ if you downloaded his ini using IE it may have added that [1] to the filename automatically.

Make sure that you dont have any other firewalls on (IE, Zone Alarm, Windows Built in one, Norton, etc.) or if you do, try and port forward (ive never had any luck with that on Zone Alarm)

Okay, I'm not on SST. Changed the name of it after posting my first post.

I have no firewalls up right now. (I know, pretty stupid, but I need to go buy a new one. Can't stand McAfee anymore.)

And still, I'm having no luck... Starting to think it might just be easier to find someone else to host it biggrin.gif

Why do you have two routers?

On the second router: Find the wan ip (lan ip from first router)
On the first router: Forward all ports you need to that ip from the first one.
On the second router: Forward ports to your lan ip on your pc.

The first router can't get to you pc without being forwarded to the second router and then forwarding the second router to your pc. That's how mine was, but I was using three. Fun.

Its not necessarily what's on the computer, it's what I can -do- with the computer if I were to get access to it . By 'I' I'm referring to someone who might want to compromise systems.

And by "someone who might want to compromise systems" he is referring to himself.
