That's crazy. I don't know any real way of contacting them, but I hope they're alright.

Now I have to hear that on ChannelOne at school. I hate that thing. Oh well. Now maybe we won't hear columbine so much.

Glad D1 is ok.

The guy chained the doors so no one could get out. What was the motive? Religious Intolerence or did he just like killing people.

Always be nice to people. They sometimes won't kill you if they shoot a bunch of people.

No, be a intolerable bastard, the nice people always get killed first.

Damnit.
This was all over LUELinks, and when I get home and check to see if all the LLers from VTech have reported in, the first topic I see is "ARRRRRGH LOST ANOTHER 30 TO VTECH". I don't think I'm going to LUELinks for a few days.

(1) The site is horribly outdated.
(2) Many people in this game know people who go to that school, so it hits closer to home (and therefore, is not an acceptable target for parody).

Christ, use some common sense once in a while.

Yeah, right. I pulled a clicker out and clicked how many times they said Columbine in 15 minutes on MSNBC... 65 times. They're milking it like 9/11.

Honestly, the media itself doesnt give two shits about the people that got hurt, their families, or any of the sort. They do this for money, they'll do ANYTHING to get money, even lie, bug the family of the dead, ANYTHING.

Sounds like you watch Fox News, Confess.

Lol, I still remember when they were freaking out over the Jon Benet Ramsey stuff about 10 months ago... they were talking about the guy who claimed to have killed her, and one of the anchors said, "Oh, he's definitely a pedophile... I mean, he looks like one". I'll never watch that network again.

It's sad how such things happen. I heard someone here say "those things can only happen in the USA".

WHERE'S D1ST0RT?

It was a terrorist attack if you ask me. If he was Muslim, all you would hear is terrorist. Did he not terrorize and kill 33 people (not including injured).

The JROTC guys were practicing twirling their guns (real with cement in them). What if someone brought a real gun to school? No one would know. A boy brought a plastic GI Joe gun to school and got expelled in the first grade once.

That´s retarded. JROTC does not need real guns. icon_exclaim.gif

Haha, I've seen that video before Smong, I love it.

Now for the question of the week: should guns be allowed on college campuses? (Guns are not allowed on the VT campus before anyone misunderstands my question.)

A terrorist attack? Terrorist attacks are supposed to get people scared for some group of people. This was just some sick sort of "revenge" coming from one person.

I still view it as an act of terrorism. He did it because of his girlfriend to try and get a message out. icon_confused.gif

Not in America, rofl. In America, any attack against the government itself is a terrorist attack. Even if it's for a good reason. It's hypocritical, but that's nothing new for the government.

He didn't have a girlfriend. Cho's roommates said that he made up an imaginary girlfriend for himself.

Well, I can say this about today. Someone is about to learn the definition of Fucked. Some girl decided to send a bomb scare to the local college campus, it's an offsite campus, which ended up in us - Fire Dept. - evacuating a whole section of businesses. We had City Police, Sheriff Units, DPS, the School's Dean was driven down by his local Asst. Police Chief, EMS and State Trooper. When I got my minimal gear on I stepped out and overhead the Police Chief's conversation with the Mayor and they're out for blood on this one. Usually, bomb threats get a fine, fine only.

This time, due to the VA Tech incident, they are out to make an example. Which, not too long after the CSI guy got there and investigated the email threat he had the IP and name of the girl whose computer sent it; Director knew who she was, pointed to a group of her friends, who had - evidently - been pointing and laughing at all we had been doing the whole time we where there. When the cops looked at them and told them, they went "Oh shit," one girl got a phone out and the cop told her "If you're smart, you'll put that cell in your bag, and let ths man call her."

It was a prank, but where the guy used bomb threats to test responce of EMS, Police and Fire... They made it clear, this chicks getting an example made out of her. I almost feel sorry for her, cause they've talked about getting expelling the student, and all that, but you know.. some shit is funny. Chris Ponteius getting thrown into the air while air cannons set off faux bricks, in his "Keep God out of California" outfit, is funny... Bomb Threats, not so much.

Not really posting this to brag, but it's just a warning for anyone whose thinking about doing the same. The girl *did* spoof her email, she bounced it off a few servers, but the guy had her in five minutes - that includes the time to boot up his laptop.
